Calendar events are time-sensitive. Don't wait up to 12 hours for Google Calendar to sync your external calendars. We'll do it every minute so your calendars always stay current.
Google Calendar lets you synchronize external (iCal) events to your Google Calendar by adding someone else's calendar using a link. The feature works great but has one major flaw:
It might take up to 12 hours for changes to show in your Google Calendar.
Google Calendar doesn't synchronize changes to external calendars frequently enough for time-sensitive events. You might have to wait up to 12 hours for changes to an external calendar to appear in Google Calendar.
This app synchronizes external calendars more frequently than Google Calendar. An event that's created, moved, or canceled in an external calendar will be reflected in Google Calendar within 1 minute.
When you synchronize an external calendar, this app first creates a new calendar in Google Calendar. It then reads the external calendar and your Google Calendar every minute to compare events. When a difference is detected, it writes the minimal change to your Google Calendar to keep both calendars in sync.
Be aware that this app requires calendar-level read/write access in order to create calendars and read and write events. That is enough access to be dangerous. This app only reads and writes calendars that it's actively synchronizing. It DOES NOT read or write your existing calendars, their events, or calendars that you create.
